Driving Vancouver to Kamloops yesterday, and to Canmore today, we drove around, through and over countless mountains and can't even begin to imagine how many lakes we passed. We stopped to admire many, but after awhile you become partially immune to their beauty.
Perhaps whoever designed this country should have spread the lakes out a bit.
The last photo above was taken just before we got the first rain we have had since we got here. The rest of the time we have had blue skies and daytime temperatures ranging from 18°C in the morning to 33°C in the afternoon. It is hard to believe that this part of the country will be covered in snow in a couple of months.
